Dr. Ali Silver
Hello! I am a native of Baltimore, MD. I completed an undergraduate degree in Biology at Denison University, Granville, OH. It was not until after graduation that I found myself interested in veterinary medicine. I always knew that I loved animals and medicine, but it took me a while to realize that I could merge these into a fulfilling career as a veterinarian.
In 2008, I began my career as a veterinary assistant at a 24-hour ER veterinary hospital in my hometown of Baltimore, MD. As I gained experience, I fell more in love with the profession. I attended Virginia Tech for veterinary school and graduated in 2015.
Following this, I completed a 1-year rotating internship where I studied with specialists in oncology, internal medicine, surgery, and critical care medicine. With this new-found knowledge, I returned to the hospital where my journey began and was an ER veterinarian there for 2.5 years.
I moved to San Francisco in December 2018 with my partner, our two dogs, and our cat. We are love exploring the West Coast and all the activities that it has to offer including biking, hiking, kayaking, and finding cool venues to listen to live music.
