Dr. Vince Nguyen

I grew up in the French-speaking part of Switzerland and was exposed to various animals at a young age, including cats, dogs, and farm animals. My interest in science and biology led me to complete the Swiss equivalent of a B.S. in science. I then moved to California and graduated from UC Davis in 2003, completing a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular biology.

After working for a small biotechnology company, my interest in animal care led me to Western University of Health Sciences, where I earned my DVM degree in 2011.

I then pursued a one-year internship in emergency medicine before joining a general small animal hospital in San Diego. I am a fierce advocate of preventive care to enhance pets’ health and well-being. My interests include nutrition, internal medicine, and dermatology.

I am fortunate to have a beautiful family, including a wife and daughter, along with two cats and a dog. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, listening to live music, traveling, and photography!
