Hello, I am Jessica, raised in the Richmond area of the San Francisco Bay Area for a majority of my life but recently relocated to the south bay in Fremont. I grew up in a Disney dominated life; filled with 20+ years of basketball; and surrounded by my family. I grew up with countless dogs and cats throughout my family that always got more love from me than any human family member.
After high school, I was admitted to a nursing program at CSU East Bay in Hayward, and after 2 years, I realized that human medicine wasn’t for me, so I transferred to Carrington College California and began my journey in veterinary medicine. I graduated in 2012 with an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology, and moved on to pass California State Board Exam in 2013, and the National Board Exam in 2014.
After graduating school in 2012, I started my career in small animal general practice, moved on to Shelter Medicine and High Volume Spay/Neuter at the San Francisco SPCA. After a few years there, I jumped around in critical care nursing, management, specialty practice- neurology and surgery, and then landed with VetnCare as the Clinical Field Training Leader, my dream job- a combination of working with animals and helping guide people. My passions within Veterinary Medicine lie in dentistry, orthopedic surgery, neurology, and mentorship; I am also trained in Fear Free Handling.
When not in the clinic, I am usually spending time with my partner, Daniel, his 2 beautiful daughters, and my furbabies- Tedford Rupert- orange tabby, and Olaf- labrador mix; hanging out with my friends for dinner or movie nights; or watching any type of sporting event- specifically Warriors and Lakers basketball, A’s baseball, and San Jose Sharks hockey.
