hello world!

Clinical Field Training Leader

Hello, I am Jessica, born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. I grew up in a Disney-dominated life; filled with 20+ years of basketball, and surrounded by my family. I grew up with countless dogs and cats throughout my family that always got more attention from me than any human family member.

After high school, I was admitted to a nursing program at CSU East Bay in Hayward, and after 2 years, I realized that human medicine wasn’t for me, so after some soul searching I transferred to Carrington College California, and began my journey in veterinary medicine. I graduated in 2012 with an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology and moved on to pass California State Board Exam in 2013, and the National Board Exam in 2014 to become a Registered Veterinary Technician.

After graduating from school in 2012, I started my veterinary career in small animal general practice and moved on to Shelter Medicine and High Volume Spay/Neuter at the San Francisco SPCA. After a few years there, I jumped around in critical care nursing, management, specialty practice- neurology and surgery, and then landed with VetnCare as the Clinical Field Training Leader, my dream job- a combination of working with animals, helping guide people, and passing my knowledge on. My passions within Veterinary Medicine lie in dentistry, orthopedic surgery, neurology, and mentorship; I am also a Certified Fear Free Professional.

When not in the clinic, I am usually spending time with my partner, Daniel; our beautiful daughter, Valen; and my 2 amazing stepdaughters, Aylah and Ava; along with my furbabies Olaf, the most handsome labrador mix, and Cleo, a high energy Shih Tzu. I also enjoy hanging out with my friends and family and watching Warriors and Lakers basketball.
