I am from the UK, and gained my degrees from the University of Edinburgh (BSc in Biological Sciences and MSc in Applied Animal Behavior and Welfare). I always steered towards working with animals, travelling globally to gain experience: from wildlife care, to zoo keeping, to veterinary hospitals, to conservation education, typically finding my niche in the administration/ management side. I was fortunate to land in San Diego in 2016, completing my master's thesis on honeybee behavior at UCSD. I met my husband there, and we moved to the Bay Area in 2017, where I started working with the San Francisco SPCA in their clinical behavior department. I am passionate about and an advocate for veterinary low stress handling/ fear free practices. I live in South San Francisco with my husband, my almost one year old, and three dogs (whose combined weight is only 50lbs, so there is always room for more..).
