Dr. Vince Nguyen grew up in the French-speaking part of Switzerland and was exposed to a variety of animals at an early age including cats, dogs, and farm animals. His interest in Science and Biology lead him to complete the Swiss equivalent of a B.S. in Science. He then moved to California and graduated from UC Davis in 2003, completing his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular biology.
After working for a small biotechnology company, his interest in animal care led him to Western University of Health Sciences, where he earned his degree in veterinary medicine in 2011.
He then pursued a one-year internship in emergency medicine before joining a general small animal hospital in San Diego. In 2017, Dr. Nguyen moved to North Austin with his family and continued to provide excellent preventive care medicine to the community. Dr. Nguyen is a strong advocate of preventive care medicine to enhance the health and wellbeing of pets. He has a strong interest in nutrition, internal medicine, and dermatology.
In 2020, Dr. Nguyen moved back to Northern California to be closer to his extended family. He is fortunate to have a beautiful family including a wife and daughter along with two cats and a dog.
Dr. Nguyen enjoys spending time with his family, listening to live music, traveling, and photography!
