Dr. Valerie Patton is a Mississippi native who has been practicing veterinary medicine in California for over 20 years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Bellarmine University in Kentucky and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Mississippi State University. Dr. Patton practiced veterinary medicine in rural Mississippi for the first seven years of her career before moving to California. She previously lived and worked in Los Angeles, where she did both pioneering high‑volume spay/neuter work and managed an after‑hours emergency animal clinic. She’s very excited to be in Sacramento applying all she has learned over the years in both medicine and running a clinic to Campus Commons Pet Hospital.
Dr. Patton has three daughters, all of whom are in the Arts fields and continue to enhance her life in ways she never anticipated. Her husband, Greg Patton, is a Sacramento native and Dr. Patton will be the first to tell you how great Greg is at “going with the flow” with the constant parade of animals she brings through his life.
