I grew up in a small town north of Philadelphia. After completing an undergraduate degree in Latin American Studies in upstate New York, I attended Veterinary School at Tufts University in Massachusetts. After graduation, I worked in equine and dairy practice in New York prior to moving to Portland, Oregon. There, I was able to hone my interests in surgery and dentistry; I also have particular interests in behavior, obesity/weight loss, and public health.
I am excited to start this new chapter and work with the awesome Groveway Veterinary Hospital team! At Groveway, we strive to make every visit as gentle, pain-free, and stress-free as possible for your pets. I am proud to be Fear Free certified! To become certified, I have completed a comprehensive, 8-part educational course and exam and also have to complete continuing education to remain certified. Outside of veterinary medicine, my interests include horseback riding, martial arts, baking, and photography. Most recently, though, my focus has been on hiking. My dogs Sprocket, a border collie, and Kelvin, a lab mix, are my constant hiking companions. We recently completed the Timberline Trail, a 40-mile, 10,000-foot elevation gain hike around Mount Hood in two days. I’m always looking forward to our next adventure!
