hello world!

Hello! I am originally from Harvey, Louisiana, an approximate 10-minute drive to New Orleans. Science has always fascinated me, and I have had a love for animals ever since I was little. I naturally decided to become a veterinarian once I was 14 years old.

As a high schooler, I attended a Vets of the Future program run by my local SPCA, where I learned common parasites, diseases, medications, and treatments. I volunteered there for some time, shadowing vets and soaking in their knowledge.

For my undergraduate degree, I attended Mississippi State University as a Biology major for 3 years. I also sang for the University's choir and even got to travel to New York City to sing at Carnegie Hall! After undergrad, I immediately went to Mississippi State University's College of Veterinary Medicine and completed my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in May of 2017.

At that point, I decided to travel the country and find a new home. I scoured the country, from South Carolina to Chicago to California. I originally landed in Southern California, but eventually found a home in the Bay Area.

Since obtaining my DVM and California license, I have worked solely as a small animal veterinarian, focusing on dogs and cats. I have a special interest in surgery and dentistry.

We strive to make every visit as gentle, pain-free, and stress-free as possible for your pets. I am proud to be Fear Free certified! To become certified, I have completed a comprehensive, 8-part educational course and exam and also have to complete continuing education to remain certified. During my free time, I typically enjoy crafting of all kinds, from crocheting, knitting, sewing, drawing, and painting (both on canvas and with miniatures). My furry family consists of my cats Imy and Miyu, and my dog, Winston.

I look forward to meeting you and your furry friends at Hercules Pet Clinic!
