Dr. Amy Crain received her BVMS from the University of Glasgow and her CVA (Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist) from the Chi Institute in Reddick, FL. Dr. Crain is interested in all forms of pet healing and wellness and likes to apply an integrative approach to her patients. At home, she has two animals: John Cougar Meloncat (Johnny), an NYC rescue kitty who stole her heart and converted her to a cat lady, and a Frenchie she tolerates that her husband brought into her life named Timber. Miraculously, they were both born on the same day!
During her free time, Dr. Crain is an avid competitive runner always training for her next marathon, Boston being her favorite! Amy also enjoys exploring the Bay Area's vegan restaurants, spending time in wine country, reading, and cycling with her husband, Turner. Before moving back out to the Bay Area, Dr. Crain lived and worked in Pittsburgh PA for 2 years and Manhattan for 13 years. She was born in Cooperstown (home of the Baseball Hall of Fame) in upstate New York, where her passion for veterinary medicine began at a young age while caring for retired racehorses and barn cats on her neighbor's farm.
